Check Out These Winter Attractions Before Your New York Boat Tour

by Liberty Cruise - January 6, 2018

The winter can be a great time to visit New York City. It means more snowy days, fewer tourists, and a constant holiday atmosphere. If you are planning on going on a New York boat tour this winter, you will be delighted to know that there is a heated indoor deck that you can take advantage of in order to stay warm while you get up close to our Lady Liberty. Once you are done with your New York boat tour, why don’t you go check out some other great winter attractions in New York City? The winter paints a brand new picture of the city that you probably haven’t seen before. If you have time to spare after your New York boat tour, here are two attractions you should check out:

Central Park

Before you leave or once you are done with your New York boat tour, check out the beautiful Central Park. The world’s largest urban park offers plenty of winter activities for young and old to enjoy. If it snows, you will love walking around in the park. You can even go sledding or snowshoeing any place that has enough snow on the ground. People in New York love to go sledding during the winter, and their favorite spots to sled are Pilgrim Hill and Cedar Hill. Another famous activity is ice skating at the Wollman Rink, which is one of the city’s most famous ice skating rinks. There is no time limit to ice skate in the Wollman Rink, which means you can spend the entire afternoon there if you are having a good time.

Go to a Museum

There are plenty of museums you can check out before or after your New York boat tour, and if you don’t enjoy the cold weather that much, this activity is made for you. There are plenty of incredible museums in New York City. Some of the most popular are the Museum of Modern Art, the American Museum of Natural History, the Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of the City of New York, the Frick Collection, the Jewish Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum. You will be able to experience some incredible art pieces and magnificent exhibitions.
